The Calce range consists of soft, gentle hues, such as avorio (ivory) and bianco (white), along with decidedly bolder colours such as antracite (anthracite) and nero (black). A nuvolato cloudy look that stems from walls with freshly-applied plaster, a tabula plank that seems to have been made on purpose to give creativity free rein and which proves extremely popular in all the surfaces and sizes offered.

The Calce series was devised from the onset for both horizontal and vertical application. Its surfaces are particularly recommended for coatings or for use in interiors. The colour spectrum is calibrated to fit with any style of design.

Finish description

The grained (bocciardato) surface finish looks exactly like it sounds. The surface is dotted by small ‘grains’ of the material, leaving a semi-rough finish.

Technical information

All the surfaces in the Calce series are distinguished by the technical excellence of Laminam; they are resistant to impact, stains and scratches.

The versatility of ceramic means the surfaces retain their specifications even when they are exposed to heat, frost and UV rays, with an average water absorption of 0.1%.

Calce is a totally natural product that is entirely food-safe because it does not release elements in a solution (even in the event of a fire) and does not allow mould and mildew to form.

Hydrotect treatment®

Materials with the Hydrotect® treatment (developed by Toto® for Laminam®) possess unique antibacterial, self-cleaning, air purification and odour-removing properties owing to their composition. The presence of titanium oxide catalyses the creation of active oxygen on the surface (especially in presence of light). Active oxygen breaks down bacteria and odour-causing organic molecules, as well as neutralizes toxic air pollutants. The hydrophilic properties of Hydrotect® cause a thin water layer to form on the surface after exposure to water, which detaches dirt on external facades during rain and makes cleaning internal surfaces that much easier.
