Finish description

The popular honed/matte finish is sturdy, reliable and elegant. It is smooth and pleasant to the eye and touch, while showing little reflection.

Technical information

All the surfaces in the Fokos series are distinguished by the technical excellence of Laminam; they are resistant to impact, stains and scratches.

The versatility of ceramic means the surfaces retain their specifications even when they are exposed to heat, frost and UV rays, with an average water absorption of 0.1%.

Fokos is a totally natural product that is entirely food-safe because it does not release elements in a solution (even in the event of a fire) and does not allow mould and mildew to form.

Hydrotect treatment®

Materials with the Hydrotect® treatment (developed by Toto® for Laminam®) possess unique antibacterial, self-cleaning, air purification and odour-removing properties owing to their composition. The presence of titanium oxide catalyses the creation of active oxygen on the surface (especially in presence of light). Active oxygen breaks down bacteria and odour-causing organic molecules, as well as neutralizes toxic air pollutants. The hydrophilic properties of Hydrotect® cause a thin water layer to form on the surface after exposure to water, which detaches dirt on external facades during rain and makes cleaning internal surfaces that much easier.
